Founded in 1982 by Jean-Paul de Lavison, JPdL has become one of the largest events and conference planning companies in Canada. Its expertise is based on three pillars of activity:
1. Management of corporate and association events and incentive trips for the Canadian market.
2. Design and management of incentive trips, seminars, learning expeditions and professional missions across Canada, adapted to the needs of European clients.
3. Design, management and logistics of conferences, congresses and symposiums at local, national and international levels.

Event Operations: 80-90%
• Work closely with the National Director of Operations and the Operations team to ensure the smooth and flawless execution of programs;
• Ensure a smooth transition of files from the moment a contract is signed to the program’s operation;
• Successfully manage and operate program of all size on-site and remotely. As a full-service provider, these include conventions, incentive programs, meetings and other special events.
• Manage partners’, suppliers’ and overall operational budgets.
• Maintain the highest level of business and personal integrity with clients, suppliers, industry and office colleagues;
Event design services: 10-20%
• Create and develop new ideas for program extras that distinguish JPdL from other such companies;
• Foster relationships and maintain and develop the product development database including hotel, venue and activities other product knowledge
• Assist with client site inspections, FAMS and sales trips throughout the year as required
• Help us improve our company with your imagination and drive!
• Minimum +3 years of managing/operating business events
• Degree or accreditation in Hospitality/Event Management or related field an asset (CMP, DMCP, DES)
• Be flexible to work on events operating weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Ability to travel and operate programs in cities in which you do not reside
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently
• Knowledge of Quebec cities, venues and attractions
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of FileMaker an asset
• Research and analytical skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• A passion for continuous education on new product offerings including participation in supplier events and association networks
• Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Experience writing proposals in the Hospitality Industry an asset
• English (requirement), French (an asset)
